The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic gentlemen whose primary principle is charity.
The organization was founded by Fr. Michael J. McGiveny, the pastor of St. Mary’s parish in
New Haven, Connecticut in March of 1882 with a small group of men.
The purpose outlined by Fr. McGiveny was to encourage Catholic men to remain steadfast in their faith, promote ties of fraternity and provide financial assistance to the widows and children of the members when they died.
From that humble beginning, the Knights of Columbus is now a worldwide organization consisting of over 13,000 Councils.
Catholic men, 18 years or older are encouraged to join our Council. If you are interested in joining, please contact Parish Office.
